Cholesterol is essential for our bodies to function. However, as with most things, a high level of it is a bad thing. Cholesterol can accumulate in your arteries and has been linked to coronary heart disease, stroke and many other ailments. Often having high cholesterol doesn’t produce symptoms and hence many people don’t get tested until other problems arise.

Testing used to only be done by the doctor but now you don’t need to try and get into a doctor to know this vital measurement. Some of our pharmacies now provide cholesterol testing. It is quick, easy and accurate and only involves a pin prick of blood. If you are concerned that you may be a candidate for high cholesterol, or you want to be proactive about your health, come into one of our stores to be tested.
