Eligible Medibank members can now get a flu vaccination voucher and use it to receive a flu vaccine this winter at participating Discount Drug Stores, at no extra cost~*.
Flu vaccinations may not be suitable for everyone. Talk to your qualified health professional or immunisation provider first to see if it is right for you, particularly if you have any ongoing concerns about your health, including previous anaphylactic or allergic reactions. Consultation fees may apply.
How to redeem your Medibank flu voucher at a participating Discount Drug Stores
1. Be a registered Live Better member
Fab! Redeem your free flu vaccine voucher in the Live Better rewards store in the My Medibank app.
Otherwise, you can register for Live Better here.
2. Redeem your flu voucher in the Medibank Live Better Rewards store
Visit Live Better rewards in the My Medibank app, click “Shop rewards” on the home screen to go to the rewards store.
The 0-point flu vaccination voucher will be a featured reward at the top or you can find it under Cover rewards.
3. Receive your voucher
Once redeemed, you will receive an email from Medibank Live Better rewards.
Select “Click here to download” and your flu vaccine voucher will open.
4. Now book your vax!
With your voucher code, you can now book your flu vax appointment at your nearest participating Discount Drug Store, at a date and time that suits you.
The flu vaccine voucher is available for redemption from the Medibank Live Better rewards store until the 31st July 2024.
Remember to use your voucher before Saturday 31st August 2024.
If you’re not a Medibank Live Better member, you can still receive a free flu vaccination at your local Discount Drug Store.
You may be eligible to receive a free flu vaccination from as part of the Australian Government’s National Immunisation Program. This includes:
- if you are 6 months and over and have a medical condition that means you have a higher risk of getting serious disease (a qualified health professional can advise if you or your child have a specified medical risk condition)
- if you identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres-Strait Islander (and are aged 6 months & over)
- if you are pregnant (at any stage of pregnancy)
- people aged 65 years and over
- children aged 6 months to under 5 years
Some states and territories may offer free vaccines for other groups.

I’m having trouble accessing the rewards store
Members must login using their My Medibank account details and hold an eligible Medibank policy to access the rewards store. Under 16’s, OSHC, ambulance only and ahm policies are not eligible to redeem from the rewards store.
I can’t find my free flu voucher email

How long is the Medibank Free Flu Vaccine offer available?
Flu Vaccine vouchers can be redeemed via the Live Better rewards store until 31 July 2024. Once redeemed, vouchers can be used until 31 August 2024.

How do I sign up for Live Better?
You’ll first need to register for My Medibank (if you haven’t already). You can find instructions here. You can then register for Live Better in the My Medibank app by tapping the “Live Better” icon at the bottom of My Medibank once you’re logged in, and follow the introduction screens.
