NDSS Access Points

The National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS), is an initiative of the Australian Government, administered by Diabetes Australia. The NDSS delivers diabetes-related products at subsidised prices and provides information and support services to people with diabetes.

Select Discount Drug Stores are sub-agents for NDSS, which means that they can distribute NDSS products at the NDSS subsidised prices and provide some services on behalf of NDSS. Some products offered at subsidised prices for NDSS members include blood and urine testing strips. Free needles and syringes are also provided to registrants requiring insulin.

Registration for NDSS is free and open to all Australians diagnosed with diabetes. To register, you and your doctor simply complete a NDSS registration form. This scheme is available to all Australian residents who hold a current Australian Medicare card and who have been diagnosed with diabetes by a medical practitioner.
