are some items PICKUP ONLY?
What delivery methods are available?
- In Store Pick Up (Click & Collect)
Just pop over to your selected Discount Drug Store on your chosen day and at your chosen time to pick up your goods where they will be waiting for you.
- Postal Delivery
Your order will be delivered straight to your door by Australia Post registered mail. Allow up to 3- 7 business days dependent on third party services and availability of stock.
- Home Delivery
Select Discount Drug Stores operate a home delivery service within a limited radius of the store. Your friendly pharmacist will contact you to arrange the delivery of your order on the next available delivery day. This is a scheduled service. Allow up to 3-7 working days depending on the next available delivery date and availability of stock.
Do you ship internationally?
No, unfortunately Discount Drug Stores
is unable to fulfill any overseas transactions. All orders will be limited to Australian delivery addresses.
How much does postal delivery cost?
There is a $7.50 flat rate postal
delivery fee for orders under $89.00 AUD.
How much does pick up in store cost?
There is no fee for this
service.
How long does postage delivery take?
If you have selected postal
delivery via Australia Post then, depending on the time of day you have placed your order and the delivery
location, you will need to allow between 3 to 7 business days. This will be dependent on your delivery
location and availability of stock.
How long does home delivery take?
If you have selected home delivery,
then the delivery time of your order will depend on your particular store’s home delivery service operation
hours. You will need to allow between 3-7 working days for your order to arrive. Your friendly
pharmacist will contact you upon receiving your order to arrange the next available delivery time.
How long does pick up in store take?
Allow at least 3 hours before
arriving in store from the time you placed your order.
Will my postage order be tracked?
Yes, your order will be sent with
tracking and signature upon delivery. If you wish to inquire about the status of your order, please contact
the store you have purchased from.
Do I have to be home to collect my postage order?
All postage orders
will require signature upon delivery. If your order arrives at a time when you are not home, a postage slip
will be left in your letterbox and you will be required to pick your order up from your local Australia Post
office. This system is used for the protection of your order, to ensure that it is delivered and not stolen
from your property if left unattended.
Do I have to be home to collect my home delivery order?
All home
delivery orders will require signature upon delivery. If a Discount Drug Store staff member delivers your
order when you are not home, a home delivery slip will be left in your letter box and you will be required
to pick up your order from your local Discount Drug Store pharmacy.
Why are some items PICKUP ONLY?
- Dangerous Goods
Dangerous Goods are any products that are flammable or are considered high risk. We are unable to post any dangerous goods including aerosols, fragrances and items containing batteries, due to Australia Post regulations.
- Bulky Items
We are unable to post bulky items including nappies, baby formula, toilet paper and various other large items.
- Select Prescriptions
We are unable to post certain prescriptions due to both Australia Post and healthcare regulations.
There are some medicines which contain controlled drugs or are considered drugs of concern e.g. morphine. We are legally required to provide counselling and additional information when supplying these items. A Pharmacist intervention may be required.
Prescription items such as syrups are legally required to leave the dispensary ready to be consumed with an expiry period of 7 days. Due to variable shipping times it would be unsafe to post these items.
