Manuka+ Wound Gel is a sterile honey dressing made from Leptospermum spp. honey (80%) and may be used as a contact layer for wounds such as:<br/>• General First Aid.<br/>• Non-healing wounds and<br/>• diabetic ulcers.<br/>• 1St and 2nd degree burns.<br/>• Surgical wounds.<br/>• Sloughy, malodorous wounds.
| Warnings | PRECAUTIONS Wounds that: • continue to bleed. • show signs of infection. • contain dirt or a foreign body, dressing • seem large or deep. • are slow to heal or not healing wounds after 4 weeks or the person being dressed with the wound has a diabetic ulcer should be managed by a healthcare professional. • For any reaction other than a short standard lasting stinging sensation, remove the dressing and wash the affected area. • Not for use on heavily exudating wounds. • DO NOT use on patients with known hypersensitivity to honey. • DO NOT use if packaging is damaged. |
